Counting the beat: Making our own instruments

 So this week for counting the beat(Music) We have been looking at weird and cool instruments merged together.So we got the task to make our own weird instrument. So I new that I wanted the piano then I thought that It would be easy and cool to add the harmonica then I added the drums then the Xylophone.

How do you play it?

With the harmonica you blow into it. For the drums you hit it with your feet.and the piano and the xylophone you hit it with your hands

What type of sound does it play?

Mellow suttle calm high pitched music.

What type of music will it be used for?

Sad music

Counting the beat(making our own music)

 So today for Hurumanu 2 Counting the beat We looked and made our own music with different random things around the class. The first thing we did was talked about what percussion music was and body percussion.

What is Percussion music?

Percussion is music involving drums and other instruments such as gongs, bells, cymbals, rattles, and tambourines. The instruments themselves are also called percussion. ... They are struck to produce loudness, while the other instruments are strummed or blown into, 

Then we looked at some people that made there own music out of things.

So then today we got to make our own music out of things. My group Decided to do A beat from Imagine dragons Believer. We used sticks And stamped them on the ground we also used our feet and stomped them on the ground. Also Jordan used A pan And chop sticks to make a sound.

Counting the beat violin

 So this week for counting the beat we Looked at the violin. We went through The types of violin like the cello, double bass,Viola And violin.

Then We looked at the parts of the violin. I learned some new things about the parts of the violin like That they use Horse tail to use the bow. And that there was a part of the violin bow called frog. Did you know that?

After that we looked at the different styles of the violin (Electric ones)

My favourite is the white one.

Then we listend to some violin and heard some different types of violin sounds that it can make.

This One was diffidently my favourite thing to look at. What about you?

Counting the beat week 4

 So this week for counting the beat we looked at Ukuleles and the Recorder.

For Ukulele we talked about what we knew about it, and what we thought about it.Then Mr Mitchell showed us some different types of ukulele like the Soprano, Concert ,Tenor and the Baritone. We looked at the ones that Mr Mitchell Brought for us to look at and the Concert one was My favourite because It was Electric. We also looked at the parts of the Ukulele like the head,body,neck,sound hole,Turning heads and more. 

Then we got to look at the recorder. We looked at the different sizes of the Recorder and some of them where really big. Then we went outside and Mr Mitchell showed us some tunes that we played. Then we got to have 2 minutes to play whatever we wanted but it ended up like on 30 seconds because it was about to make us all Deaf because of the screeching sound of peoples Recorder not playing it properly. Although it was funny.
