What is Caesin and what is it used for?

Casein is a slow-digesting dairy protein that people often take as a supplement. It releases amino acids slowly, so people often take it before bed to help with recovery and reduce muscle breakdown while they sleep. Several studies have shown it helps boost muscle growth, along with a ton of other benefits.

Skittle colours

Aim: I want to find out what happens when you put skittles in water

Method:

equipment:

  • Petri dish
  • Skittles
  • warm water
  • small beaker

Instruction:
  1. Get all your equipment ready.
  2. spread out the skittles around the edge of your petri dish
  3. gently poor the warm water into the middle of the petri dish
  4. Observe what happens

Results:

discussion:

why did the colour leave the skittles?
Because Skittles are coated in food colouring and sugar and when you pour water over the skittles the coloured coat dissolves spreading through the water and making a cool pattern.

Why did the colours not mix?

Because The warm water causes the colouring and sugar to dissolve and diffuse through the water. The reason the colours do not initially mix is due to water sheet thickness in colours..

Canterbury floods

Flooding in Canterbury given a red warning on Friday saying to be warn about heavy rain in southern and central Canterbury . Acting Minister for Emergency Management Kris Faafoi travelled to the Canterbury town to assess the impact of heavy rain, and said about 3000 houses were at risk of flooding. About 30 households are being evacuated in Springfield, Selwyn District.

The Heathcote River in Christchurch has broken its banks by Clarendon Terrace, and a number of streets in central Christchurch are closed due to flooding. The council said the next high tide at 8pm was likely to bring fresh flooding to the city."Most of the flooding that we had so far has been related to the king tides," council spokesperson Tim Drennan said If anyone living close to a river or waterway felt unsafe, they should self-evacuate.

Also The council was urging people to drive slowly if they need to be out on the road, so that water is not pushed onto people's properties.

Surface flooding in Christchurch has knocked out power to hundreds of homes throughout the morning. About 240 homes around Bishopdale went dark just before 5.30am on monday but it was restored later in the morning.

Close to 80 households in Woolston spent the night without electricity but have had it restored this morning. And more than 2000 homes near Lake Ellesmere were briefly without power around 2am.

And left with hundreds and even thousands of people stuck at home. What did you do during the floods? Did anything happen to you or your family?
