 So this was a task from a couple of weeks ago that we had to make A Fake Email to our hero, So since that Jacinda Ardern is my hero I did one about her. So I hope you like it.

You are my hero because you Helped New zealand out and showed Resilience the

whole time. You helped Christurch out With the moss shootings in Christchurch

and helped us through corona virus. 

You are not just a hero to all of new zealand but everyone around the world

finds you as a hero.

  But I have a few questions. Why Did you want to run for priminster?

What made you want to do it?. How long have you wanted to be primnster?

Elton John Biography

 So this week for Counting the beat we got a task to make A biography about A famous musicain. So I picked Elton John. So here it is

Reginald Kenneth Dwight known as Elton John, born on march 25th, 1947 now is 74, born in the town of Pinner in Middlesex,England. John taught himself to play the piano at the age of four, He met his longtime musical partener Taupin in 1967, after they both answered an advert for songwriters. For two years, they wrote songs for artists including Lulu. Taupin did the song writing and Elton did the music on piano and the singing. 

In 1969, John's debut album, Empty Sky, was released. In 1970, his first hit single, "Your Song", from his second album, Elton John, became his first top ten in both the UK and the US. After that he became A very famous singer all around the world with heaps of amazing hit songs known as. Im still standing , Tiny dancer, Rocket man, croocidle rock,honkey cat and many more. After making a song with renate Blauel and becoming good friends they got married but after four years they got a divorce. Although, Elton john struggled with drugs and alcohol which caused 

A Lot of problems  in his life. Later on Elton John Realized what he was doing with his life and got help to stop having drugs and Alcohol. 

After that Eltons life Changed he got married to David Furnish and had 2 kids, Then started touring around the world again and still is an amazing musician

Counting the beat: Making our own instruments

 So this week for counting the beat(Music) We have been looking at weird and cool instruments merged together.So we got the task to make our own weird instrument. So I new that I wanted the piano then I thought that It would be easy and cool to add the harmonica then I added the drums then the Xylophone.

How do you play it?

With the harmonica you blow into it. For the drums you hit it with your feet.and the piano and the xylophone you hit it with your hands

What type of sound does it play?

Mellow suttle calm high pitched music.

What type of music will it be used for?

Sad music

Pavlova Poster

 So for Hurumanu 3 (Inventions) we have been making a poster about our favourite Kiwi invention readings from last couple of weeks and make a poster about it, I picked pavlova because I love pavlova and Also I wanted to do some research about pavlova because I do love it but I don't know much about it. And share it in my poster. So here is my poster I hope you like it.

Drama plays

 So this week for Drama We started scripting our plays with our masks. The people that did the plays with me was Amanda( middle right seat) Jordan (middle left) Venice (end left) Me (Right end) . So the first thing we did was started thinking about what we wanted our play to be about and planed it all out on paper. We decided to do a play about watching a movie. Then we rehearsed it a couple of times to get it perfect, then Picked the music and the lighting which was fun. For this play I didn't use my mask That I made but thats ok.

Kiwi Inventions

So for Hururmanu 3 for the past 2 weeks we have been learning about Kiwi inventions. We got a task to read some kiwi inventions and learn all about the inventions and make DLOS about them. Here are some of mine. 

And here are some more facts about bungee jumping.

1. The original New Zealand, Kawarau Bridge site offers tandem jumps if you have a willing friend, this jump also offers a water touch, the jump is 43 meters.

2. The highest bungy in New Zealand is The Nevis, at 134m and with a 8.5 seconds of free fall.

3. The Ledge (47 meters) at Queens town's Gondola, is Queens towns only night jump, and it is a free style Bungy, your feet are not even tied!

4. The Auckland Habour Bridge is 40 meter jump and the only ocean touch Bungy

5. The Taupo bungy site at 47 meters offers solo or tandem jumps, water touches, and full submersion! The Rotorua site, is 43 meters high.

Counting the beat(making our own music)

 So today for Hurumanu 2 Counting the beat We looked and made our own music with different random things around the class. The first thing we did was talked about what percussion music was and body percussion.

What is Percussion music?

Percussion is music involving drums and other instruments such as gongs, bells, cymbals, rattles, and tambourines. The instruments themselves are also called percussion. ... They are struck to produce loudness, while the other instruments are strummed or blown into, 

Then we looked at some people that made there own music out of things.

So then today we got to make our own music out of things. My group Decided to do A beat from Imagine dragons Believer. We used sticks And stamped them on the ground we also used our feet and stomped them on the ground. Also Jordan used A pan And chop sticks to make a sound.

Counting the beat violin

 So this week for counting the beat we Looked at the violin. We went through The types of violin like the cello, double bass,Viola And violin.

Then We looked at the parts of the violin. I learned some new things about the parts of the violin like That they use Horse tail to use the bow. And that there was a part of the violin bow called frog. Did you know that?

After that we looked at the different styles of the violin (Electric ones)

My favourite is the white one.

Then we listend to some violin and heard some different types of violin sounds that it can make.

This One was diffidently my favourite thing to look at. What about you?

My kiwi mask

 So for the past couple of weeks I have been Working on making my kiwi mask for drama. At the moment I have Made it and decorated it but I still need to make a video of me wearing the mask and Moving around.

But here is my kiwi mask that I made.

I did add a little bit of glitter to the mask like on the beak and the green leaves on the top. But that is what my kiwi mask looks like. Hope you like it! 

Counting the beat Orchestra

 So this week for counting the beat we looked at Orchestra Instruments. All the classes Came together and we got to see and hear some cool Orchestra instruments and Learned  some things about orchestra like what Instruments they use and what they sound like and what type of instrument they are. 

Here are some things that we learnt this week. 

So The first thing we did on the slides was we tried to guess all the Orchestra instruments, I challenge you to try and guess them by only hearing the instruments. Then we watched a Orchestra video with Mr Bean in it which was my favourite video. 

Then we looked at the different types of instruments that were the same kind.

 Like Woodwind,which is a type of musical instrument that makes their sound when a musician blows air into or across the mouth peace. And strings that make sounds by the strings, 

Percussion, includes any instruments that makes a sound when it is hit.

Brass, A musical instruments that produces sound sympathetic vibration of air in a tubular resonator in sympathy with the vibration of the players lips 

 Then lastly we looked at a video that a group made when they were in lock down and they made a Orchestra song over video call which I thought was really cool.

Narrative story

So for Hurumanu 1 (our heroes) we have been doing some writing about our heroes this week we had to make a narrative story a hero. Here Is my story that I wrote.

  Sitting at the edge of a cliff with the wind blowing his cape behind him with his shiny red suit gleaming aganaced the sun light.

“Sir?” says Chloe his Boss “ it's time for dinner you haven't eaten all day, you need to eat” “I'm good thanks” Iron man replies “No I don’t allow you to not eat again” Chole says back “I'll be fin- Iron man-Iron man report! Someone needs help, 27 Cornta lane 9832 Come now” .“got to Go'' Iron man says while flying off into the distance.

“ How may I help” Iron man says “Oh my cat got stuck in a tree” A lady says. Iron man flies up the tree and safely gets the cat to the ground “thank you so much Iron man” the woman Replies “No worries” Says Iron man.

“Back so soon, What was it?” Says Chloe wiles Iron man walks into the front door “Just a cat that got stuck in a tree that's all” “Oh good” Chole Replies, But before they could Say anything else A massive “BOOM” And a massive shock runs through the city.

“What was that?” Chole yells “I don't know but I'm afraid it might be The hulk” “THE HULK HE HASN'T BEEN SEEN IN LIKE 10 YEARS” Chole yells back. Then all of a sudden a massive light Forms In the front door, “May we meet again” the hulk says Glaring at Iron man. “Why are you here?” Iron man replies “ mmmm,I'm going to cut to the chase. I heard over in India that you were The big hero In New york, And I didn’t like that, SO.. I have planted over 100 bombs in this city and if you don't rob the bank for me and give me $1,000,000 I am going to explode them all In just a click of a button”

“You can't be serious” says Iron man “Oh I am, you have 6 hours “Adios” Then the hulk disappears in thin air. “What are we going to do?” Says Chole “I'm going to have to get him the money It's either that or thousands of lives” Iron man says back 

“No that's not happening there has to be a different way” “yeah ,A BOAT” Iron man yells out jumping out of his chair “what?” Chloe says “Hulk wouldnt be dumb enough to stay here if The bombs do go off, so he wont be able to know what we are doing, We make a massive Boat For everyone to fit on then sail out to sea” 

“Not bad but how are we going to make a boat in 2 days?” Chole says back Iron man runs into his office and comes out with a button, “I've already got one” 

Then presses the button and a massive ship rises from the water outside of his house. “WOAH” Chole squeals. “We have to get everyone on it now!” Iron man says.

They go around the city getting everyone on the boat in time “Everyones on it let's go” Iron man

says. They move the ship out to sea. Later that hour he gets an anonymous phone call.

“Times up, did you get the money or not?” The hulk says “No I didn't” Iron man replies. “Okay”

The hulk says while hanging up. A couple of seconds later a massive Explosion

spreads around The city. 

Iron man sighs in relief, another mission Accomplished by saving everyone's lives.
